Venezuelan Aid

Jul 11, 2016 - Jul 15, 2016 1:00 am - 6:00 pm

One of the benefits of being an International school is the diverse community of kids, parents and teachers we have interaction with from around the world.  Some of you may already know of the tragic situation currently going on in Venezuela. Since 2014 the Venezuelan people have had to endure long lines and shortages of basic necessities and essential goods to survive. The situation is reaching a humanitarian level and is directly affecting one of our own.

Mrs. Iliana has been contacted by her family currently living in Venezuela in urgent need of basic daily items. Items as simple as tooth paste, Tylenol, feminine products, and non-perishables.

If anyone would like to contribute to the care packages that we will be sending to Venezuela, there will be donation boxes in the front office this week until Friday July 15th. Below is a list of some of the things that they have requested, but any items you can spare will be appreciated.

As a school we will use this tragedy to teach the students about giving and helping other people around the world.  We thank you in advance for your generosity and being a part of the DIS family!
