As founder and owner of DIS, Jaime's education experience includes six years as the director of a Spanish immersion preschool and more than 10 years as a full-time daycare and preschool center director.
A parent of two bilingual speaking children, Jaime knows the value in children learning a second language early in their schooling. In addition, Jaime created DIS with the knowledge that a strong preschool foundation is essential for preparing children for elementary school and beyond.
Jaime has a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Elementary Education. She also has her provisional teaching license through the State of Colorado.
Our curriculum co-creator, Lillian, brings a wealth of bilingual education experience to the DIS family.
Lillian has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Bilingual Education & Reading. She earned her Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
Having served nearly a decade as a Director of Multilingual Education for Alamosa Public Schools in Southern Colorado, Lillian is now the Executive Director of Title V Initiatives Grants Office at Adams State University, focused on enhancing higher education opportunities for Latino students. In addition, Lillian is the Grant Director for Improving Teacher Quality for the Colorado Commission for Higher Education.
Originally from Lima Peru, Gaby became a U.S. citizen many years ago.
A native Spanish speaker, Gaby is our Preschool 1 Spanish Teacher. In addition to studying Psychology at the Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru, Gaby studied Early Childhood Development at the Community College of Aurora.
Outside of DIS, Gaby is a mother of two sons, one in college and one in high school. Gaby is excited to help educate your child!
Mery is our Lead Preschool 2 Teacher. She began with DIS as a teaching assistant. She studied education in Lima-Peru at the San Marcos National University and earned her Master’s degree in Education Psychology. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education courses at the Community College of Denver
She is very enthusiastic about teaching DIS students and providing them with positive experiences while helping them through the learning process. Mery focuses her educational activities throughout the day focusing on each child’s skills and interests in a positive and motivating environment.
Outside of the DIS community, Mery enjoys spending time with her two sons, Kenneth, age 19, and Kevin, age 11. Mery can be found transporting Kevin to basketball and Taekwondo.
Originally from Jerez, Zacatecas Mexico, and a native Spanish speaker, Maribel is in her fifth year as our full-time Lead Preschool 3 teacher.
Previously she was a teacher assistant at Venture for Success.
Maribel has earned her degree in Early Childhood Development from the Community College of Denver.
In her free time, Maribel enjoys spending time with her daughter. She is excited to be able to teach children in a fun and engaging environment that prepares children for the future!
Meet one of our amazing teachers! Originally from Colima Mexico, Adriana pursued her dream and became a U.S. citizen a couple of years ago. Adriana studied cosmetology while living in Reseda California. After moving to Colorado she realized that her passion was actually working with young children. Being a native Spanish speaker makes her a perfect fit for our DIS students!
Adriana treats all children in her care as if they are her own, showing much affection, love and care. She is passionate about working with children as you can see when you visit her classroom. She creates a positive and safe environment for those in her care.
Outside DIS Adriana has three children of her own who are all college graduates! She is very proud of them. She loves being outdoors with her children and also enjoys traveling with them. Adriana is very dedicated and is always excited to come into work at DIS and looks forward to educating our children. We are very fortunate to have her on our staff!
Ligenia arrived 17 months ago to the United States from Venezuela, where she graduated as an Administrator and Accountant. She's a wife and a mother of two hardworking children. Being a native Spanish speaker, she makes a great addition to the DIS community!
Ligenia chose to work at DIS because of her love of children and being able to help them learn and grow at an early age. Teaching them to communicate in her native language was a bonus! She's very grateful for the opportunity to teach your children with love, patience, and dedication in an environment that develops creativity without any linguistic barriers.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, watch movies and take walks outdoors. She's very excited to share her knowledge with your kids!
Our Lead Preschool 3 Teacher is Yamileth Morales. With a background in child care, she is furthering her education in Early Childhood Education at Community College of Denver.
Originally from Cali, Colombia, Yamileth is a native Spanish speaker and has been in the U.S. since 1999. She considers New York her home state but has lived in Colorado since 2005.
When Yamileth is not teaching at DIS, she enjoys spending time creating arts and craft activities. She also loves interior design and paddleboarding with her family. She and her husband have a son in college, a daughter in high school and a son in middle school plus a family dog, Junior.
Yamileth is excited to be a part of the DIS community and she appreciates the fun and engaging environment.
